Shelter In Place: Day 19

Rolls of toilet paper left: 5

Well, we are definitely not there yet. Not even close. The peek that is. Maybe another month, maybe things will be getting back to normal by August. I expect the number above to go over 100. I don't want it to obviously, I know this is depressing, but maybe acceptance is the next step in getting through this experience.

Things are definitely getting worse here. We've had queues to get into Trader Joes during busy times for a while. This makes sense because if you have too many people in the store how can they possibly keep 6 ft from each other.

Today they implemented a queuing system at Wal-Mart, which for those that don't know is a very large supermarket. Not that a lot of the customers in the store seem to care about keeping 6ft apart from everyone else. I'm probably going to have to eat the cost and shop in other stores where people think this is important. Thankfully there are enough stores where I can get the stuff we need - well World Market is closed so we can't get any Heinz Creme of Tomato soup, but that isn't the end of the world. Trader Joes, Sprouts and Raley's seem to have customers that understand that this is serious. Thankfully.
