Happy Tunes

Exercise: Walk to Trader Joes
Piano Song of the day: Sonate 11 - Mozart (some hands 111/136 notes)

Yes, ten more notes. First, it was 109 and then 111. Progress. Nowhere close to 136 but better than yesterday and that is still the important part. Did I play it forty-plus times, did I make it all the way through the entire song about 4 times without abandoning and starting again, was sometimes the very first chord wrong, or if I may it past the first the second, did I often make it halfway through the song only to screw up the bridge and start all the way back at the beginning, absolutely, I did all of those things, and still I played on.

And that is how my piano practice goes most days, lots and lots and lots of false starts, followed by some progress only to totally fumble it in a later part of the song, or lose my positioning or get distracted by some other random thought that means I can't remember how to play and also have that random thought at the same time. Yes, that is where I am. If I concentrate really hard and block out everything else, I can play a simple tune, and that makes me very happy.
