I think I forgot to write that I finally bought a new iPhone? Maybe I did, but the setup process and the switch from the old to the new took a while.
Tech-wise everything went smooth*! I made a backup on iCloud and used this backup to set up the new phone. It was like my old phone had been transferred into a new and improved body with a couple of software tweaks (there are a few UI things I don't like but I'll just have to get used to it). It even transferred my lock screen and background!
Then I spent something like half a week emotionally moving to the new phone. The new one, an iPhone SE, still feels big and heavy compared to my old one, an iPhone 5S. It doesn't help that I've bought a case that's very protective but I will eventually take that off when I get used to the bigger size and weight. Also, what happened to those protective film things? I don't want another layer of glass on top of my screen but I want something to take the scratches.
Another thing I have to get used to is remembering the small cable adaptor. The new phone doesn't have a mini-jack port so I bought an adaptor so I can still use my (discontinued :( ) Apple headphones. Well, when I went to Kolding/Vejle by train yesterday I remembered my headphones but not the adaptor. I could have cried when I realized it because the people next to me on the train had a long conversation I would have very much liked to replace with a podcast that interests me. Hopefully, this is the last time this happens!
*I have an issue with a bedtime alarm. It goes off at 11am because that was the alarm that got transferred from my old phone. The issue is that I have now tried to delete and change the bedtime alarm but no matter what I do, it still goes off at 11am! I've tried a reboot and a hard reset but it didn't help. Any tips that don't involve any big efforts is much appreciated!
