"Woof woof"

My parents' dogs are currently going crazy. They're barking as if there's a cat inside the house, on the kitchen table eating something delicious; the cats live outside. ...
Okay, I went to see what the fuzz was about because they didn't want to shut up. I thought they might have to pee, but apparently they had heard cats fighting and went to chase the trouble makers.

I like my parents' dogs, I think they're okay. Not much more than that. I'm more of a cat person, but since my parents got dogs I've begun to think dogs are okay. Before that, I disliked dogs. I think their playfulness can easily be mistaken for aggression if you don't know them. Dogs can be scary.

Cats usually leave you alone if you leave them alone. If they want to talk, they'll gently let you know. A cat won't wake you up in the middle of the night because it heard a sound. I also like that cats are way more independent than dogs. You can leave a cat alone for a couple of days and it might hate you for it, but it won't get harmed as long as you leave it food, water and a fresh portion of cat litter.

It's unlikely I will ever have either (cat or dog) due to allergies, but I wish I could have a cat.
